Fee Schedule

We know that most people don’t like surprises when it comes to fees, so we encourage all of our clients to review our Fee Schedule, Cancellation Policy and Payment Terms before booking an appointment with one of our Psychologists.  The Australian Psychological Society’s (APS) recommended fee for psychology services for the 2018-19 financial year is $251.00 for a 50 minute appointment (click here to view the APS fee schedule) Our rates are significantly lower than those recommended by the APS at $135 for standard individual consultations and $150 for couples. Full details are provided on this page for your convenience.

COVID – 19 Temporary Arrangement, Therapeutic Services currently delivered via Telehealth Services

Clients eligible for a medicare rebate will need to pay the full fee for their telehealth session prior to their appointment after which we will issue you an electronic invoice from the clinic, this can then be submitted as proof of payment via the Express Plus Medicare mobile app (instructions here).

Cancellation Policy

Given the high demand for appointments at our Clinic, our Psychologists require a minimum of 24 hours notice for all cancellations.

We understand that there may be times when you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment for good reason.  However unlike brief medical appointments, it is very difficult to fill a 50 minute cancellation spot at short notice.

As such, a Cancellation Fee will apply for all missed appointments where;

You provide less than 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule (except in the case of genuine emergency or illness).

This Fee is 50% of the full session cost.

This fee will need to be paid in full before further sessions are scheduled.  If you do not pay the Cancellation Fee, we may at our discretion stop providing services to you.

If your treatment is being funded by a third-party such as WorkCover, TAC or VOCAT, you will remain responsible for ensuring this fee is paid in full before further services are provided to you.

We trust that you agree this is a fair and reasonable policy.  We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Payment Terms

Counselling Services:

All counselling appointments must be paid in full at the beginning of your appointment (unless prior arrangements have been made).  Where appointments are not paid in full on the day of your appointment, a late payment processing fee of $22 (including GST) will be added to your account.

Assessment & Report Writing Services:

All assessment and report writing services, require a 50% deposit when booking the initial appointment or prior to your Psychologist commencing work on your report.  Full payment is required prior to any reports or results being released to you.

Cancellations Fees:

Cancellation Fees apply to all missed appointments where less than 24 hours notice is given to cancel or reschedule.  These fees must be paid in full within 14 days of the invoice date.  All overdue invoices will incur a late payment processing fee of $22 (including GST).

Third-Party Invoices:

For all services funded by a third-party, our payment terms are strictly 14 days (unless prior arrangements have been made with the Practice Manager).  Full payment must be made within 14 days of the invoice date or a late payment processing fee of $22 (including GST) will apply.

About Us

Positive Wellbeing Clinic is a private psychology and counselling practice located in Ballarat. We provide a range of services including Individual Counselling and Relationship Counselling. We also offer psychology services to Victims of Crime and WorkCover/TAC clients.

We are offering telehealth consultations to clients during the pandemic and regularly updating facebook with tips, tricks and behind the scenes pics.

Mary-Ann will be available for reception/admin support by phone & email on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 2 - 5pm.

Therapists availability can be seen online via the client portal (book online option for new clients or existing clients not yet registered).
